Collecting local history

HERE'S an interesting link which has ideas for things to collect: maps, prints, postcards, bottles. Does anyone have such a collection?


A few 2 and a half old pence Starcross coins have turned up - pub tokens, from The Jolly Sailor 

There used to be a brickworks in Brickyard Lane. Does anyone have any Starcross bricks?

There's been a couple of  local potteries. Does anyone have any Starcross pots?

Starcross Railway Station 50s photograph

Judging by the trusty old Morris van, this photograph of Starcross Railway Station was taken in the 50s. It doesn't look as though the roof across the rails is there. When was that roof knocked down?
