Accounts

In September 2020, The Starcross History Society had £291.40p in its Lloyds Bank Treasurer's Account. This balance was brought forward from January 2020

£100 of this is owed jointly to Starcross Primary School and Starcross pre-school. It was First Prize money from the Teignmouth Recycled Art in the Landscape sculpture trail.  Well done Kattanga the War Horse

A cheque has been sent to the school recently, but not yet cashed.

That leaves a balance of £191.40p. The money has been made from raffle ticket and refreshment  sales at our face to face meetings, and from a Jumble Sale.

On 21st September 2020, a donation of £10 was banked

Balance: £201.40p

23rd October 2020 £50 to Squadron 307 Project for Michael Parrot's ZOOM presentation.

Balance £151.40p

In October  2020, a PayPal  donation of £5 was made following our ZOOM presentation about the Polish 307 Squadron. PayPal is proving problematic in allowing us the preferential rates of 1.4 per cent and 20p per transaction ( we are registered as a not-for-profit group ) so they took 45p which is almost 10 per cent. Negotiations via the PayPal message centre, the PayPal website and the PayPal Charities Team phone number still fail to get a result so a case has been opened with Trading Standards.

On October 26 2020 we paid in £10 which was a year's voluntary family subscription to our ZOOM program.

Balance £161.40p

On October 26 2020 we transferred £7.25 from the PayPal account, which included another payment

Balance £168.65p

This balance is not enough for our projects and to complete our ZOOM program.

Monies banked in September and October 2020 totalled  £27.25p

Disregarding the£199 prize money, monies outgoing in September and October 2020 totalled £50

£50 - £27.25p is £22.75p deficit for September and October

We plan to set up a YouTube channel.
